HOW DOES IT WORK ?

Microneedling treatments involve the use of a roller with fine needles that penetrate the skin to create micro-perforations. These stimulate the regeneration of collagen, therefore tightening the skin and reducing the appearance of dilated pores.

STEP BY STEP PROTOCOL

ASSESSMENT AND TOPICAL ANESTHESIA

After reviewing your medical questionnaire, your treating professional will conduct your full assessment, starting with pictures taken from different angles and visual analysis. Your face will need to be thoroughly cleansed to facilitate the assessment. You will need to apply numbing cream an hour before your treatment to make the treatment more comfortable. Depending on the severity of your dilated pores, your treating professional will determine the type of roller that should be used and the number of passes needed.

PREPARATION

After allowing time for the anesthetic cream to take effect, your professional will clean and disinfect the area to be treated using compresses and an alcohol solution. This will remove all impurities and sebum to prevent infection and also facilitate the microneedling treatment.

MICRONEEDLING TREATMENT

A roller fitted with multiple small gauge needles will be used for your treatment. The length of the needles that should be used will be determined by your treating professional according to the assessment of your skin. The treating professional will roll the dermaroller on your face in order to create micro-perforations. You will benefit from better oxygenation of the skin and stimulation of collagen in the dermis. The treatment will be quick and tolerable.

SKIN PRODUCT APPLICATION AND POST-TREATMENT INSTRUCTIONS

The treating professional will apply a serum followed by a natural oil with skin regenerating properties. These are products composed of vitamins and minerals, which will be better absorbed due to the micro-perforations. Your professional will explain the post-treatment care to you and give you a written copy. You will need at least 3 treatments to get optimal results.

SHOULD I COMBINE MY TREATMENT WITH OTHER TECHNOLOGIES OR PRODUCTS FOR BEST RESULTS ?

It goes without saying that the combination of medico-aesthetic technologies and good skin products with active ingredients can improve your results as well as their longevity. You will have a better response by stimulating your collagen in different ways. Also, we will advise you on maintenance with the at-home microneedling kit.
You must first consider that each person reacts differently. If you follow the treatment protocol as directed by your professional, you should see results approximately 30 to 90 days after the first treatment. This is the normal time required for the regeneration of collagen fibers. The results will multiply with the number of treatments you do.
On the contrary, by creating an inflammatory process and stimulating new skin cells, you can aspire to firmer and more glowing skin. Over the years, it is by getting multiple treatments with medico-aesthetic technologies that you will be able to prevent dilated pores and the various signs of aging.
You should expect to have some normal inflammatory reactions. You will have redness, edema, a feeling of heat; there might even be some dried blood droplets.
