DOES IT HURT ?

The use of numbing cream is not necessary before a Fotona treatment for acne. Discomfort is minimal.
The duration of a Fotona treatment for acne is about 30 minutes depending on the treated area.
The results of a Fotona treatment for acne may be permanent. The treatment can be repeated if necessary, if the acne symptoms reappear.
Most of the time, the is no downtime to this treatment. The average recovery time from a Fotona Acne treatment is less than 3 days of the procedure. This is the time needed for the redness in the treated areas to heal.
In order to maintain the results obtained with the Fotona Acne treatment, it is recommended to have a healthy skin care routine, including a good cleanser, light moisturizer and daily sun protection. It may be necessary to repeat the treatment if there is a new acne breakout.
The Fotona Acne treatment is very safe if the treating professional is informed of the treated patient's health history, and of the medications that the patient is taking.
Taking photosensitizing medication in the months preceding the Fotona Acne treatment could be a contraindication to this treatment.
