HOW DOES IT WORK ?

The Fotona 4D laser treatment uses 4 different modes to deliver laser energy to the facial skin to heat the dermis, leading to the regeneration of collagen fibers. The tightening effect generated makes it possible to reduce, or even eliminate, fine lines and wrinkles on the face.

STEP BY STEP PROTOCOL
01

INSTALLATION AND FIRST LASER MODE

After completing your assessment and reviewing your medical questionnaire, your treating professional will proceed to your installation in the treatment room. You will be comfortably lying down with protective glasses. The first laser mode used will be the Er:YAG, which will treat the lining of the inside of the mouth. You will therefore benefit from a deep collagen stimulation to give a lifting effect to the inside of the cheeks, nasolabial folds, and marionette lines.

SECOND LASER MODE

The second laser mode used will be the Nd:YAG, which will warm up the cheeks and neck. A heat of 42 degrees Celcius will be maintained for 3 to 5 minutes in the treated area. This will also stimulate collagen regeneration in your face and neck, firming these areas.

THIRD LASER MODE

The third laser mode used will always be the Nd:YAG, but this time with a different pulse mode. A heat of 42 degrees Celcius will once again be held for 3 to 5 minutes on your cheeks, neck, and forehead. You will benefit from an improvement in skin texture while stimulating collagen differently.

LAST LASER MODE AND POST-TREATMENT INSTRUCTIONS

Your treatment will end with the fourth laser mode, the Er:YAG. Your cheeks and your neck will be treated. You will benefit from an intense skin tightening in addition to a different type of stimulation of your collagen. Finally, before leaving, your treating professional will explain the post-treatment instructions and give you a written copy to take home.

MAXIMIZING RESULTS

In order to maximize the results obtained by the Fotona 4D treatment to fade fine lines and wrinkles on the face, it is advisable to use good skincare products that contain active anti-aging ingredients. It is also advisable to use sun protection daily and to avoid excessive sun exposure.

PURPOSE

The goal of the 4D treatment with the Fotona laser is to tighten the deep and superficial tissues of the face to improve the shape of the face, lift it and reduce the appearance of wrinkles which will give the skin a younger appearance.

HOW IT WORKS

The 4D is a combination of 4 different treatments. It works by sending laser energy that will heat deep and superficial tissues of the face and neck, which will stimulate collagen production and tissue tightening.

RESULTS

We aim for firmer skin and a reduction of the appearance of wrinkles. It is recommended to do at least 3 treatments at a 4-weeks interval for optimal before and after results.

TECHNIQUE

The Fotona device is equipped with a special tip allowing us to send laser waves to different layers of the facial tissue, which will tighten them. Every session is a combination of four treatments, each of them aimed at a certain depth in the skin.

ANESTHESIA

The use of anesthetic cream is not necessary before a 4D treatment. Discomfort is minimal.

TIME IT TAKES

The duration of a 4D treatment with the Fotona is about 60 minutes.

TIME IT LASTS

The effect of a 4D treatment with the Fotona device lasts between 6 and 12 months. It is recommended to do 1 to 2 treatments per year to maintain the results. The price of the Fotona 4D treatment varies according to the number of sessions required.

Most of the time, no recovery time is necessary after a 4D treatment.

DOES THIS TREATMENT REPLACE MY INJECTIONS ?

All treatments are unique, they can't replace each other. That being said, the results you will get with the Fotona 4D treatment will perfectly complement your injections.
Absolutely. You should start with the laser treatment first and then proceed with your injections.
No results can be guaranteed in medicine. However, we expect your skin to be visibly firmer and rejuvenated. Some patients notice a difference in their skin after the first treatment while others have to wait until the full course of treatments is done to see results. During your consultation, your treating professional will recommend a number of treatments to maximize your results.
