HOW DOES IT WORK ?

Neuromodulating agents are composed of a natural protein that binds to muscles in order to relax them. Neuromodulating agents are usually injected into the muscles whose contraction is responsible for the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles over time in order to decrease their activity, without freezing them. They can also be injected in the muscles responsible for the heaviness of the eyelids to give a lifting effect to that area.

Clinique Chloé female patient with droopy, sagging eyelids treated with injections of neuromodulators for an eyelid lift
PERSONALIZED TREATMENT

EACH PATIENT IS UNIQUE

With age, the eyebrow line tends to go down and the skin around the eye area tends to sag, which can give a sad and tired look. This phenomenon can also be observed in younger patients. We all have a unique skin and physiognomy, which is why each eye-opening treatment is adapted to each patient.

PURPOSE

The objective of neuromodulators is to lift the eyebrow line as well as the upper eyelid, giving an eyelid lift effect.

src=

HOW IT WORKS

Neuromodulators are made of natural proteins that attach to the muscles in which they are injected to relax them. When injected in the muscles responsible for the heaviness of the eyebrows and eyelids, they give an eyelid lift effect.

src=

RESULTS

We aim for a more open, more relaxed and more rested look. Before and after results may take up to 2 weeks to appear.

src=

TECHNIQUE

Neuromodulators are injected using a syringe with a very small needle. This is a non-surgical technique.

src=

ANESTHESIA

The use of anesthetic cream is not necessary before the injection of neuromodulators. Discomfort is minimal.

src=

TIME IT TAKES

The duration of an eyelid lift treatment using neuromodulators injections varies between 15 and 30 minutes.

src=

TIME IT LASTS

The effect of neuromodulators lasts between 4 and 6 months. It is recommended to do 2 to 3 treatments per year to maintain the results. The price of neuromodulators varies according to the number of units required.

RECOVERY

Most of the time, recovery from neuromodulators injections occurs within an hour of the procedure. This is the time it takes for the minimal swelling and redness to subside.

FAQ

Everything you need to know about this treatment

HOW LONG WILL MY RESULTS LAST ?

Generally, you should do maintenance treatments every 4 to 6 months to maintain your results. Several factors can interfere with the sustainability of your results. Your treating professional will discuss this further with you during your consultation.
Neuromodulators cannot be broken down, but their effect wears off over the weeks following the treatment. Your treating professional will advise you on the best way to treat your sagging eyelids and will start with low doses to make sure you always get natural results. Therefore, it is unlikely that won't like the results.
We always aim for natural results. Your treating professional will assess your muscle strength and discuss the desired results with you in order to find the perfect dose to treat your sagging eyelids.
If you follow the post-treatment instructions provided by your treating professional, you should not have an asymmetrical result. However, most people have natural minor asymmetries, and those can sometimes cause one of the facial muscles to react differently. If you see an asymmetry, it is recommended that you wait for at least 14 days after your treatment before coming back for a correction because most of these asymmetries even out on their own. If you still have an asymmetry after that period, you can always come back to see your treating professional so that it can be corrected.
