This video shows the technique used to treat stress urinary incontinence with IncontiLase.
STEP BY STEP PROTOCOL
01
INSTALLATION
You will have previously had a first medical evaluation to ensure that you are a good candidate for the IncontiLase treatment. On the day of the procedure, you will be comfortably installed, lying down with a blanket over your legs.
02
GYNECOLOGICAL ASSESSMENT AND LOCAL ANESTHESIA
An anesthetic cream will be applied at the entrance of the vagina. It will allow the speculum to penetrate more efficiently and comfortably in order to proceed to the gynecological evaluation. Using long cotton swabs, the treating professional will remove the intra-vaginal secretions so that each laser pulse is sent directly to your vaginal mucosa.
03
TREATMENT
A transparent glass protector tip will be inserted inside your vagina and will stay in place throughout the treatment. The laser tip will be inserted in that glass tip. The treatment for stress urinary incontinence is done in three steps using three different laser tips. The first one will target the pelvic floor to better hold the bladder and tighten the urethral structures. The second one will focus on the inside of the vagina to strengthen it and stimulate its collagen production. The last one will treat the entrance of the vagina and the urethra in order to also stimulate collagen production and therefore tighten them.
04
POST-TREATMENT INSTRUCTIONS
Before leaving, your professional will explain the post-treatment instructions and give you a written copy to take home. In order to achieve the desired results, your professional will suggest a number of treatments at a specific interval. We will advise you to make your next appointment in advance to be able to book the time slot that suits you best.
