STEP BY STEP PROTOCOL

PRODUCT INFORMATION SESSION
After reviewing your medical questionnaire, your treating professional will give you all the information you need about deoxycholic acid, or Belkyra, to then proceed with your assessment and create your personalized treatment plan.

MEDICAL ASSESSMENT WITH PHOTO TAKING
You will undergo a complete medical evaluation starting with pictures taken from different angles, visual analysis, and palpation and delineation of your double chin. Your professional will use this delineation to affix a self-adhesive pattern with several small dots used to direct Belkyra injections.

TREATMENT PLAN AND TREATMENT
Your professional will create a personalized treatment plan with the number of sessions needed to achieve the best results for your double chin treatment. He will use the marks drawn beforehand as anatomical landmarks to proceed with the treatment. We do not recommend the application of anesthetic cream as it could change the landmarks and create swelling. You can apply ice a few minutes before the treatment. Your treatment will begin with complete disinfection using compresses and an alcohol solution. The injections will be made into your subcutaneous tissues in order to reach the fat cells.

ICE AND POST-TREATMENT INSTRUCTIONS
Your treatment will end with the application of ice to alleviate the discomfort. This should only last between 5 and 10 minutes. Before leaving, your professional will explain the post-treatment instructions and give you a written copy to take home. We will advise you on an ideal frequency to come for your treatments. We generally recommend between 2 and 6 sessions. We recommend that you make your appointment in advance to be able to book the time slot that suits you best.
