WHAT IS IT ?

V-Beam is a pulsed dye laser used to treat all kinds of vascular lesions. It is used to treat rosacea, cherry angiomas, stellar angiomas, active acne, telangiectasias and port-wine stains, among others. The V-Beam laser uses micro-pulse technology, which distributes the energy of a laser pulse into 8 very small micro-pulses, which ensures precise energy metering for safety and high efficiency. The additional cooling system used further increases the comfort of the procedure.

HOW DOES IT WORK ?

The V-Beam device sends laser pulses with a wavelength of 595 nm, which are attracted by the reddish color of red blood cells. The absorption of laser energy causes intense heating of the target structures, such as dilated blood vessels, and their thermal destruction. In addition, a special cooling system is used during the procedure, allowing the skin to be cooled before, during and after laser irradiation. This increases the comfort of the procedure and the skin is further protected, so side effects are minimized.

FAQ

Everything you need to know about this technology

DOES IT HURT ?

The V-Beam laser is a non-invasive and relatively painless procedure but you may feel slight discomfort. This treatment does not require the application of an anesthetic cream beforehand. During a V-Beam laser treatment, patient comfort is ensured by a patented skin cooling system using an active cooling agent at the moment of emitting a laser pulse.
The procedure itself takes 5 to 45 minutes, depending on the treatment area. Depending on the condition treated, results may be visible immediately or may take up to 6 weeks after the procedure to be visible.
Once an optimal result is achieved, it can last up to 12 to 14 months, depending on individual factors such as the patient's age and skin condition. Certain skin conditions will not reappear after treatment with the V-Beam laser.
V-Beam Laser treatment is non-invasive and recovery time is minimal. Most patients need 2-3 days to fully recover after the procedure due to possible local redness and swelling.
In the majority of cases, the effect of the V-Beam laser treatment is long-lasting but not permanent. To maintain the achieved results, it is recommended to perform 1 to 2 treatment per year. Always use sunscreen and medical grade skin care to maintain your results.
The V-Beam laser is a safe treatment and complications are rare. Possible side effects include redness, swelling and bruising in the treatment area. Minor localized side effects disappear spontaneously within a few days and do not require any special care.
Contraindications to the V-Beam laser include the use of photosensitizing drugs, tanned skin, tattoos and permanent make-up in the treatment area, among others. Patients with very dark skin should also refrain from V-Beam laser treatment.
